The ECOFILTER is designed to strain treated waters and, in parallel, accumulate and collect suspended solids. The device is excellent for the treatment of watery suspensions of different origins and uses in concentrations not greater than 1.5%. Applications include:
- Filtration of supply water in sediment flotation systems aimed at breaking down and standardising suspended solids;
- Protective barrier for clarified waters from treatment systems to guarantee their possible reuse without further intervention;
- Removal of large contaminants in paper mill return waters from general collection channels;
- Accumulation of waste from perforated or slit strainers on pulp preparation lines.
For each application different types of AIS! 304 or 316 stainless steel wires are used in sizes that are determined by the type of liquid to be treated and the level of filtration required. A fixed or oscillating spray with fan-effect nozzles fed by clarified water at 3 bar ensures that the wires are cleaned perfectly.
The ECOFILTER comes in two basic models and three different lengths:
- IS with a single drum, 1000 - 2000 - 3000 mm in length;
- ID with two drums, 2000 - 3000 mm in length.
Constructed in AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, the device is supplied complete with pendulum reduction gear, watertight support wheels and central greasing system. On request, the device can be fitted with a collector for accumulated material and a collection bath for the clarified waters.
